Oh the cool things you may see at the Shreveport Aquarium for the holiday season.

For local families seeking out unique Christmas entertainment, Shreveport offers an experience this year that may not be matched anywhere else in the country.

Already a treasure of the community, the Shreveport Aquarium is about to gear up for even more family-friendly entertainment this holiday season. Starting on November 27 and running through December 23, the Aquarium plans to host their BELIEVE series of events. During standard aquarium hours, visitors can tour through some special Christmas-themed exhibits, including a scuba-diving Santa Claus and a unique motion-activated wand.

On certain evenings throughout the month, the aquarium will also stay open to put on a special lights show and roll out some additional family activities. On top of arts and crafts activities, kids can write a letter to Santa that will receive a mailed response before Christmas. Tickets for these nighttime events cost $25 for all ages, while the daytime events charge a regular admissions fee plus $5 for a magic wand and special gift.
